How do I install Companion?
Companion is currently in open alpha. Anyone can download and try it immediately. Visit our download page, install the application, and start automating your workflows right away. Note: Windows may show a security warning during installation since we don't have an EV certificate yet - this is normal and safe to proceed.
Is Companion compatible with my operating system?
Companion works on Windows 10, Windows 11, and Mac. Linux support is coming soon.
Does Companion require an internet connection?
Yes, Companion requires an internet connection to function. While it runs on your local machine and controls your applications directly, it uses online AI models for processing and decision-making.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Companion runs on your local machine with full control over what data is shared. AI processing requires server communication over encrypted connections (SSL). Your files, emails, and personal information stay on your machine unless you explicitly choose to share specific data for a task. End-to-end encryption is coming soon for additional security.
What applications does Companion integrate with?
Companion integrates with over 2,700 applications including Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Slack, Zoom, Notion, and many more. You can find the full list of integrations in our documentation.
How much does Companion cost after the beta period?
We offer several pricing plans to meet different needs. Our basic plan starts at $29/month, with advanced plans offering more credits and features. You can also use Gemini 2.5 Pro and Gemini 2.5 Flash for free with your own API key from Google AI Studio. Visit our pricing section on the main page for detailed information on all plans.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan at any time?
Yes, you can change your plan at any time. Plan changes take effect immediately. Note that our billing system is still being refined, so some features may change as we develop the platform further.
How do I update Companion to the latest version?
Companion automatically updates to the latest version when you launch the application. Updates are required to ensure you have the latest features and security improvements.
